The aim of this campaign is to show the viewer that air travel by other means is similar to flying like a bird - animalistic and uncomfortable. But if you fly with Jet Blue, all the luxuries they provide will mean you fly comfortably, unlike their competitors. So this campaign encourages travel on Jet Blue due to comfortability (not prices or time saving, like other adverts), not their competitors.
The ads placed on transportation are good because this is where the people most likely to fly would be, as they could be going to the airport and see this.
The Youtube advert is filmed in a documentarian style, recording the life of a pigeon in every day life, and drawing similarities to a commuter's every day life. So the advert uses a metaphor to connote that the person watching it is in a similar position, and relating to the viewer by this. And the mock-serious tone of the video shows the viewer that the advert is a joke, but also connotes that they take the issue at hand seriously, and they have the solution for it, which is why they are taking it so lightly.
